New Patients

Ready To Make An Appointment?

New patients please contact us by phone, email, or the contact form below to make an appointment because there is so much info we need to share in order to make sure we have everything we need and that your treatment is relaxing.  You can see the available new patient appointments (called Initial Exam and Acupuncture Treatment) on our online scheduler.  Because we spend so much time with you at your first appointment, we block these appointments out ahead of time.  If you need a different time we may have to schedule the appointment a few more weeks out where we can find a large enough block of time that is not already booked, but we will do everything we can to find an appointment that works for you.

Have Questions?

Please contact us by phone, email, or the contact form below if you have any questions. Our office manager Jules can answer all sorts of questions about acupuncture, conditions we treat frequently, and appointments at our office.  If you would like to speak to the acupuncturist about your specific condition and how we can help you, we offer a short complimentary holistic health assessment by phone.  Contact us by phone, email, or the contact form below to schedule a complimentary holistic health assessment.

Here’s what you need to know about our COVID-19 Safety Protocols and Patient Requirements

We ask that all patients who come into the clinic:

  1. Not have had possible COVID-19 symptoms in the past 10 days (fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea).
  2. Not have been in close contact with anyone who has possible COVID-19 in the past 10 days.

When you arrive to our clinic, you will need to confirm that the above are still accurate. We will take your temperature with an infrared forehead thermometer and check your blood oxygen with a sanitized oximeter.

You WILL NOT BE CHARGED a missed appointment fee for cancelling due to concerns about COVID-19 symptoms or exposure, but please be in touch ASAP so we can provide herbal support for you and accommodate people on our waitlist.

We also ask that you:

  • Wear a mask: As a medical office, we’re asking that all our patients continue to wear masks to their appointments. Fully vaccinated patients, after showing proof of vaccination, can be maskless for the part of the treatment where they are resting by themselves in the treatment room.
    • If you want to be maskless for part of your treatment:
      • Proof of Vaccination: Email a photo of the front of your vaccination card to thrive@thrive-acupuncture.com and we’ll add it to your medical record.
      • Getting the mask off and on: Wear your mask to your appointment and after Christina has placed the needles she will slip your mask off and place it on your chest.  At the end of your treatment, she’ll start by taking out the points that free you up to put your mask on, so you can do that while she is down at your legs and feet.
  • Be Punctual, but please don’t arrive to your appointment more than 15 minutes ahead of time.  With all the extra cleaning protocols we now have, we may not be able to accommodate you if you are more than 5 minutes late.
  • If there is a patient in the front room, please wait outside.
  • Wear loose clothing so you do not need to disrobe and bring only what you need into the clinic.
  • Don’t bring any guests into the clinic.

If anything changes with your health, your exposure, or your comfort level about coming to the clinic, don’t hesitate to cancel your appointment. We’re not charging the late cancel fee at this time for any of these reasons.

Some of the things we’re doing to keep the office as safe as possible:

  • We’ve moved the reception area to the front room and adjusted our schedule so there will always be a private room ready for you when you arrive for your appointment.
  • Christina will be wearing a mask and protective eyewear. Jules will be wearing a mask.
  • We have HEPA filter air purifiers in each treatment room and we’re sanitizing the treatment rooms after each patient.
  • We have an herb pick-up station and keep your credit card on file for touch-less payment so you can stay 6 ft away from Jules as she checks you out and schedules future appointments.
  • We are providing hand sanitizer and paper towels for patients to use throughout the office.

Telemedicine Appointments:

For those that prefer to stay home at this time, we understand as that is the lowest risk. We can still support you with a telemedicine appointment!  You’ll be glad to know that many of the conditions we treat in our clinic have been responding well to herbal medicine, diet, acupressure, and other lifestyle recommendations Christina has been doing via video telemedicine appointments.

Call Jules at the office or email us at thrive@thrive-acupuncture.com to set up your telemedicine appointment.

If you have any questions, please reach out.  We know this is a confusing time and we’re here to help you decide if you feel comfortable coming in for an appointment.
